# Board Studio for Jira Cloud

## AI Insights and Responsible Use

Board Studio uses **Forge LLMs**, Atlassian's hosted LLM API for Forge apps, to provide optional risk assessments inside the Inspector. It does not call a separate external AI service. Atlassian states that apps using Forge LLMs are badged as **Runs on Atlassian**.

AI insights are designed in line with Atlassian's AI interaction guidelines:

- **Administrator controlled**: AI is disabled by default and must be enabled by a Jira administrator.
- **User initiated**: An assessment runs only after a user selects Assess risk or Regenerate. Selecting or opening work never triggers an AI call.
- **Permission aware and minimised**: Jira evidence is read with the current user's permissions and reduced to the fields needed for the assessment.
- **Evidence grounded**: Results disclose scope, generation time, risk factors, caveats and references to supporting Jira work.
- **Advisory**: People verify the evidence and own the decision. Board Studio does not automatically write generated guidance to Jira.
- **Embedded in the workflow**: Analysis remains in the Inspector, preserves task state across navigation and links findings back to the board.
- **Platform governed**: Requests undergo the same Atlassian moderation checks used for Atlassian's own AI and Rovo features.
