The Board Studio Interface
Board Studio consists of three main areas:Header Bar
The top header bar contains:

| Tour button | Opens interactive guided tour for new users |
| Data source type | Choose between Space (project) or Filter |
| Data source selector | Choose the specific space or filter to display |
| Refresh button | Reload the list of available sources |
| Board selector | Select or switch between saved board configurations |
| Create button (+) | Create a new board configuration (when changes exist) |
| Cancel button (✕) | Cancel name editing (when editing) |
| Save button (💾) | Save the board configuration (when editing) |
| Actions menu (â‹®) | Rename, Save As, Share, or Delete board |
| Update button | Refresh issue data from Jira |
Sidebar
The collapsible left sidebar contains configuration sections:

Graph Canvas
The main visualization area where cards and links are displayed. Interact with the canvas to:
- Pan – Click and drag the background
- Zoom – Scroll wheel or pinch gesture
- Select – Click a card or link
- Multi-select – Ctrl/Cmd + click, or drag a selection rectangle
- Focus – Select cards and activate focus mode
Configuration Workflow
A typical workflow for setting up a board:
- Select data source – Choose which issues to display
- Configure general settings – Enable separate linked cards, set up sorting
- Configure board structure – Set up swimlanes and grouping
- Adjust link settings – Show relevant links, hide noise
- Save the board – Preserve your configuration
- Share with team – Collaborate on the same view
Sidebar Sections
Overview
Displays summary statistics about the loaded data:

| Linked work items outside | Links pointing to issues not in the current dataset |
General Settings
Contains display options and sorting configuration:

| Order subsection | Multi-field sorting with direction toggles (↑/↓) |
Board Structure
Controls how cards are organized spatially:

| Vertical swimlanes | Creates horizontal bands (rows) |
| Horizontal swimlanes | Creates vertical columns |
| Grouping | Stacks cards at the same position with collapsible headers |
Links
Controls which dependencies appear and how they look:

| Style | Customize appearance per link type (color, line style, thickness, arrow type) |
| Display | Toggle visibility of link types (outward/inward) with counts |
Footer
Fixed at the bottom of the sidebar:
