Share your board configurations with other Jira users or groups so they can use the same view without recreating it.
How sharing works
When you share a configuration, you grant specific users or groups access to use that configuration. Shared configurations appear in the recipients configuration dropdown under a Shared with me section.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Edit, rename, share, delete the configuration |
| Recipient | View and use the configuration (read-only) |
Share a configuration
- Open the configuration menu (click the menu icon next to your configuration name)
- Select Share
- In the Share dialog, search for users or groups
- Select the users or groups you want to share with
- Click Save to apply the sharing settings
Share with users
Search for individual Jira users by name or email. The selected users will see your configuration in their Shared with me section.
Share with groups
Search for Jira groups to share with all members of that group at once. This is useful for sharing with entire teams or departments.
View who has access
Open the Share dialog to see the current list of users and groups who have access to your configuration. You can remove access by clicking the remove button next to any entry.
Remove sharing
- Open the configuration menu and select Share
- Find the user or group you want to remove
- Click the remove button next to their name
- Click Save to apply the changes
Using shared configurations
When someone shares a configuration with you:
- Open the configuration dropdown
- Look for the Shared with me section
- Select the shared configuration to load it
Shared configurations are read-only. To customise a shared configuration, use Save As to create your own copy that you can modify.
